Not big enough a leap to overtake Windows. Vista is coming and the WPF (Avalon) is deemed to be superior to OSX's user interface. Hah! By whom? It isn't finished yet, but all it looks is nice effort of copying, nothing else. And I was talking about UI stuff. There's seems to some other good ideas in vista. David S.

Well but OS/2 surviving 40 VDMs in 12M RAM (OS/2-vs-Win95 era contest I took part in) perhaps can't be beaten still ;-) A prober Windows user opens one, perhaps two applications at the time, then closes the applications at once when she is done with it. Live long and prosper.

Shades of DR-DOS and Windows 3.1 ? You decide. Or expirement : put Linux on top of Windows using VMWare. The switch. Then compare to Virtual(ly pathetic) PC. No contest, VMWare rocks, and Virtual PC obviously doesn't. Oh, and by the way, don't try to virtualize Vista unless you paid the extra fee.
